Fire extinguishers can be a very important part of your fire protection. Every year thousands of homes and businesses suffer from the results of fire. Especially with businesses, the loss of equipment, data and valuables can be devastating and detrimental to the businesses future.

Ensuring you have the right protection for your business is essential. Below are some of the fire extinguishers we install and how they can help you in the unfortunate event of a fire

Foam fire extinguishers are great for fires, which involve solid combustible materials, and flammable liquid fires. The foam, which is applied, helps prevent it re-lighting after it has been put out

Water fire extinguishers are great for putting out flames on wood, carpets soft furnishings and paper. They should not be used on flammable liquids or cooking oils.

Co2 fire extinguishers are effective on flammable liquids and electric fires. However, this type of fire extinguisher is not suitable for cooking oils.

Wet chemical fire extinguishers are ideal for use on soft furnishings and fires cause by burning oil fires. However, they can be dangerous if used near electrical systems or flammable gas. These are ideally suited for kitchens.

Dry powder can be used on a variety of fires. It is safe to use on wood, textiles, flammable liquids and electric fires. It cannot be used on kitchen fires where cooking oils are involved. Kitchen areas would require a different extinguisher for example a wet chemical fire extinguisher.

Fire blankets are highly flame-resistant blankets which are generally used to either extinguish a small fire or wrap around a person. The vast majority are used for fires within kitchens.
